For the first time since the start of the Covid19 pandemic, the most important European corrosion congress, EUROCORR 2022, was held again in Berlin from 28 August to 1 September 2022.
During the congress, organised by GfKORR e.V. and DECHEMA e.V., over 800 corrosion experts from all over the world exchanged the latest research results in all areas of corrosion and corrosion protection over five days.
In keeping with good tradition, the DECHEMA Research Institute was extremely well represented at the event by the "Materials and Corrosion" department with its latest research results from various subject areas, from cathodic corrosion protection to protective coatings and implant corrosion to high-temperature corrosion, with a total of six presentations and three posters. DFI team leader Prof. Dr. Wolfram Fürbeth and Institute Director Associate Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mathias Galetz were also actively involved in the design and moderation of the lecture programme.
