Funktionale Sicherheit - Anlagensicherheit und Prozessleittechnik (PLT): Grundlagen (Functional safety – plant safety and process control technology (PCT), fundamentals)

7 - 8 March 2017

Anerkannt als Fortbildungsveranstaltung für Immissionsschutz- und Störfallbeauftragte im Sinne des § 9 Abs. 1 der 5. BImSchV

The new VDI/VDE guideline 2180 was published. It substantiates the new international standards IEC 61508 and IEC 61511, gives instructions on how to lawfully implement these standards and describes the current state of the art in safety technology. The emphases of these guidelines are the stages engineering, construction and operation within a safety life cycle and their integration into the safety management system.

The classification of PCT systems will be newly regulated: PCT monitoring systems will be integrated into basic process control systems. The subsequent practical consequences are explained in the course.

During the two-day seminar methods and tools for risk assessment and risk reduction, such as risk graphs and risk matrices are presented and extended by means of case studies and group work.

Human factor, explosion protection and SIL calculation are also topics of this further education course.

The advanced training course in July is themed “making SIL calculations easy”; during the SIL day, current special topics will be presented and discussed.
