For the first time since the start of the Covid19 pandemic in 2020, the traditional application-oriented experimental courses "Corrosion - Fundamentals and Investigation Methods" and "Electrochemistry for Scientists, Engineers and Technicians" were successfully resumed in their usual form at the DFI in September 2022.
The special feature of the DFI experimental courses is that the knowledge imparted in lectures in the Franz Patat lecture theatre under the roof of DECHEMA can be specifically deepened in the practical rooms located next door in the institute through a large number of demonstration, group and individual experiments.
With this concept, which has been pursued for decades, the DFI has a significant unique selling point in the further education landscape on the addressed topics.
