Mathias Galetz appointed adjunct professor at the University of Bayreuth

The DECHEMA Research Institute (DFI) warmly congratulates Prof. Dr.-Ing. Mathias Galetz on his appointment as adjunct professor at the University of Bayreuth.

On 8 July 2026, the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Stephan Tremmel, presented him with the corresponding certificate. The appointment recognises Mathias Galetz’s outstanding scientific achievements and his commitment to research and teaching.

Mathias Galetz is Chairman of the Executive Board and Head of the Materials and Corrosion Department at the DFI. In this role, he is responsible both for the institute’s strategic direction and for research in the field of high-temperature materials and corrosion protection.
