Metal feedstock is widely used in industry but suffers from limited accessibility. However residues and waste of industrial society also contain precious metals. Scientists from different research groups at DFI collaborate to develop innovative strategies for the recovery of metals from waste water as well as ashes and slags with a focal point on electrochemical methods. The scientists are also involved in the activities of the ProcessNet working group "Raw Materials" and are concerned with the identification of new and innovative research directions.
