DECHEMA-Forschungsinstitut is a non-profit civil law foundation. The core competencies of the institute lie within the key disciplines of materials and corrosion, chemical technology, electrochemistry, and biotechnology. Around 80 staff work on central challenges covering the entire width from fundamental research to developments close to application. Within their different areas they develop technological solutions for industrial applications with the overall goal of preserving resources and optimizing ecological compatibility.

The Chemical Technology group is looking for bachelor/master students who are willing to contribute on the development of post-lithium-ion systems such as Al-ion, metal/air batteries and of the high-temperature co-electrolysis in the frame of an international (EU) and a national (BMBF) project, respectively.

Your tasks will principally focus on the synthesis/preparation of electrode materials and their electrochemical characterization under half-cell and full-cell configuration. Founded backgrounds in chemical engineering, chemistry or materials science are expected. Further skills in electrochemistry are welcome by not a must.

We will offer you a unique opportunity to actively contribute to an exciting but also very challenging research project within an experimented scientist team. We will provide you a financial support for maximum six months and eventually an accommodation in our guest house as well. Please feel free to contact Dr. J.-F. Drillet for more information (Tel.: +49 697564-476 / e-mail: ). We are looking forward to receive your application you can send per e-mail to
