Students m/f for Bachelor/Master Thesis in Battery & HT Co-Electrolysis Research
The DECHEMA-Forschungsinstitut (DFI) is a non-profit foundation based in Frankfurt am Main in Germany. We carry out fundamental and applied research in the field of Materials, Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology. The research institute has a 50 year track record of successful research and collaboration with both industry and academia. It is associated with the Society of Chemical Technology and Biotechnology DECHEMA e.V. with more than 5,500 private and institutional members, among them scientists, engineers, and companies.
We are looking for bachelor/master students for developing post-lithium-ion systems such as Al-ion, metal/air batteries as well as high-temperature co-electrolysis in the frame of international and national projects.
Your tasks will principally focus on the synthesis/preparation of electrode materials and their electrochemical characterization under half-cell and full-cell configuration. Founded backgrounds in chemical engineering, chemistry or materials science are expected. Further skills in electrochemistry are advantageous.
We will offer you a unique opportunity to actively contribute to an exciting but also very challenging research project within an experienced scientist team. Our laboratories are very well-equipped for battery and catalyst research. Depending on the availability, we can provide you an accommodation in our guest house. Please feel free to contact Dr. J.-F. Drillet for more information (Tel.: +49 697564-476 / e-mail: ). We are looking forward to receive your application you can send per e-mail to
